An Exciting Guide to Newgale Beach Pembrokeshire

There are many exciting things to do at Newgale Beach on the Pembrokeshire Coast. It is a 2020 Blue Flag beach, long and sandy with a natural pebble bank caused by a storm in 1859. Unfortunately, you will have to walk over to the bank, which can be pretty tricky and not accessible for everyone.

It is famous for surfing, relaxing, and walking. It is known for its excellent facilities and incredible water quality and cleanliness. The Sunday Times named it one of the top 10 beaches in Wales in 2021, rivalling those on the Gower Peninsula.

Luckily for everyone, Newgale Beach is almost 2-miles (3km) long and is an excellent option if you want facilities and space. It is also well-known in the surfing community for being one of the best spots in Wales as the beach faces west and gets wind from the Atlantic.

Also, the iconic Pembrokeshire Coast Path passes through Newgale Beach, found between Solva and Nolton Haven, which is another reason why it’s so popular. Newgale Beach is also the boundary between the English and Welsh-speaking parts of Pembrokeshire.

Not only can you stay the night at the Duke of Edinburgh Pub, but you can also try a Welsh Breakfast whilst being so close to the beautiful beach. The portions for breakfast are large, and they offer vegetarian options, which we always look for. It is also dog friendly!

2-minute Beach Clean

We loved this idea and how you can make a difference when visiting the beach. You have to take a bag, recycle what you can, and then bin the rubbish that you cannot. The campaign aims to encourage people to take care of marine life and share their experiences on social media to help more people take part. It began in Cornwall, but now plenty of beaches have adopted the initiative.

We saw many people get involved and think it is a great thing to do if you love the beach and want to preserve its beauty. So what are you waiting for?
