We went on a beautiful and short walk in the Peaks

We went on a beautiful and short walk in the Peaks - it was too good not to share!

The Lantern Pike walk was a pleasant surprise. It is 373m and the name Lantern Pike probably comes from the hill's use as a beacon.

The walk was only 8km and took around 2.5 hours with some stops! Views were lovely and the heather is out! How great is the Peak District in heather season?

We always love exploring Winnats Pass whether it’s in the snow, sun or wind…

The drive is spectacular (when you don’t get stuck behind lots of cars or when your dodging sheep). 😂

We have now explored from every angle and have concluded this is one the best views because of the fabulous views of Mam Tor in the background.

Last month I completed the Hadrian’s Wall Path from Bowness-on-Solway to Newcastle! Walking 84 miles (135km) and let me tell you it was an INCREDIBLE experience. 🏛️🏺

Thoroughly enjoyed meeting people from all over the world, the scenery and completing my first ever long-distance hike (my feet were in crazy pain after). 🥾
