Although The Thirsty Goat is a new establishment, the building they are located in has been a part of Belfast’s history for centuries. The current location is at the intersection of Hill Street and Waring Street.
In our opinion, the Thirsty Goat is an elegant pub that has beautiful refinements and character. It is known for its outstanding live music on weekends and an outstanding selection of craft beers and whiskies.
There is a vast, lively beer garden, which has a different vibe! Much more of a party atmosphere – there’s something for everyone!
They serve food too! We loved it!

Muriel’s Cafe Bar
One of the best pubs in Belfast is Muriel’s, Cafe Bar.
You will find the Bar downstairs, and the seating is upstairs, including its private Monkey Room – which you can hire.
We thought it was quirky, with velvet chairs in an artistic setting. There is limited space, and it’s suited more to couples,. They play live music to create a lovely environment. You can see one of the main decorations downstairs – bras hanging from the ceiling!
The Dirty Onion
The Dirty Onion is minimal inside, with attractive technological prints on the wall (you must see for yourself). There is a cosy open fire inside, which is very spacious compared to other pubs in Belfast. There are small tables but larger ones for different groups.
There is a large selection of spirits in the inside Bar, and there is ample outdoor space, so you will be sure you’ll get a spot.
The Dirty Onion boasts two bars, a restaurant, and one of Belfast’s most extensive beer gardens. Whether you’re looking for a night out with friends or a special occasion, they have got you covered.
